Xi (Lucy) Lu Lorentz is the founder and managing attorney of Lu Law Office, LLC, a boutique immigration and business law firm based in Madison, Wisconsin. With more than twelve years of legal experience and two law degrees, she represents employers, entrepreneurs, international professionals, and families navigating complex immigration and business matters.
Lucy focuses on employment-based immigration, family-based immigration, and business law, assisting clients with work visas, permanent residence petitions, and corporate legal matters. She has successfully represented clients before the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Labor, and the Department of State.
She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and frequently presents seminars and continuing legal education programs for legal and business communities.
Lucy has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star and named to the Wisconsin Law Journal’s Immigration Attorney Power List. Her practice has also earned consistent five-star client ratings on Google Reviews, reflecting her commitment to responsive, thoughtful, and client-focused legal representation.

Lucy provides immigration legal services for a wide range of immigration matters on national level, assisting foreign workers, local employers and high education institutes to maintain or acquire legal status on H-1B, L-1, TN, B visas for their employees and filing employment-based petitions on NIW, EB-1A, EB-1B, PERM for international scholars and researchers, as well as family based immigration visas (I-485, I-130, 129F). Recently, Lucy was invited to serve as Adjunct Instructor this spring at University of Wisconsin Law School, where she’ll be teaching a module on Immigration Law.
